Grooming instruction starts with safety and sanitation.  Students learn about shampoo types and gain experience in bathing, hand drying pets, and how to properly trim nails.  You will learn techniques in handling different coat types, dematting, behavior problems, and all with a humane process.  Brushing and dematting techniques are skills essential to a Professional Grooming Assistant.  This course is intended as the basis to the Professional Grooming course.  However, it can be taken to prepare yourself for a Grooming Assistant career.
